Interim Industrial Management

Interim Industrial Management

Assignment: Interim Production and Facility Management

Objective: Assume emergency management of a 300-person industrial facility and resolve quality issues

Duration: 8 months

Following acquisition by a major manufacturing company, the existing management of an industrial facility was released, leaving the new owners with a major leadership gap. Significant problems with quality were also severely affecting earnings.

Valtus Transition's interim manager drew on his vast experience in automotive industrial management, implementing on-site controls to identify causes for product rejection and associated corrective actions.  .Non quality costs were divided by three in three months and the number of rejected products divided by four as a result of corrective actions.

Training and support mechanisms were simultaneously put in place for senior operators to remove potential barriers, facilitate change and consolidate expertise and skills.
